ConstructionThe outlying structure of the monument is a replica of the Pentagon,
constructed of concrete and limestone, and is a tribute not only to the men and women who perished, but also those who defend our nation daily. A Service Seal of all five branches of the military is affixed to each base of the Pentagon. The apex of the Pentagon is pointing towards Ground Zero. It serves as a protection for the inner part of the monument...just as our military defends us against those who would seek to harm us.

The Twin Towers, constructed of stainless steel and aluminum, pay tribute to those who perished at the World Trade Center. They are positioned as they were in real life, replicating the north and south towers.

Standing beside the towers is a pyramid constructed of wood and stainless anodized aluminum, paying tribute to the spirit and bravery of those who perished aboard Flight 93 near Shanksville in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Affixed to the pyramid are four engravings. The first paying tribute to the New York City Police, the Port Authority Police, and the Fire Department of the City of NY. The second engraving pays tribute to the civilians who perished at the World Trade Center. The third honors the military and civilian workers killed at the Pentagon. The fourth engraving lists each of the four flights that were hijacked and used as vehicles of terrorism on 9-11.
